From Nurse to Health Coach:

Meeting the needs of women

About Me

Hi, I’m Gail Rothstein—founder of The Well Woman Connection. I’m a women's health and well-being coach dedicated to supporting women through the transformational journey of midlife and beyond. My mission is to empower women with the knowledge, tools, and compassionate support they need to feel confident, connected, and in charge of their health.

I began my nursing career in 2007 after graduating from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I started out as a labor and delivery nurse at Tucson Medical Center, where I developed a deep respect for women’s strength and resilience. Over time, I began to notice a serious gap in women’s healthcare—especially around education, preventative care, and meaningful conversations about their bodies and choices.

That realization led me to pursue my master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Frontier Nursing University, which I completed in 2014. I then worked as a nurse practitioner in Flagstaff, Arizona for two and a half years before relocating to New Zealand with my husband.

By then, it had become clear that the traditional medical system wasn’t allowing me to serve women in the way I truly wanted. I longed to build deeper connections, explore the root causes of health concerns, and create space for real, individualized healing.

That’s why I created The Well Woman Connection—a space where women feel heard, seen, and supported. Through one-on-one and group coaching, I help midlife and post-menopausal women reclaim their energy, vitality, and confidence—because this chapter of life is just the beginning.

I’m so glad you’re here. I look forward to walking this journey with you.

Mission Statement

At The Well Woman Connection, my mission is to educate, empower, and support women through every stage of midlife and beyond. I offer both one-to-one and group coaching to provide personalized, compassionate guidance rooted in evidence-based practices. I create safe, inclusive spaces where women can connect, share openly, and feel truly seen. Through meaningful support and practical tools, I help women embrace the changes of midlife, reclaim their vitality, and step confidently into their Second Spring—stronger, wiser, and more vibrant than ever before.

My Core Values

1. Empowerment
I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, capable, and confident in her body and her life. Through my coaching, I help support women in reconnecting with their instincts, trusting themselves, and voicing their needs and desires confidently to their partners, family members, friends, colleagues and health care providers.

2. Education
I'm committed to sharing clear, evidence-based information that women can trust. I want every woman I work with to feel informed and confident when making choices about her health and wellbeing.

3. Connection
I create a safe, inclusive space—whether one-to-one or in a group—where women can speak freely, feel seen and heard, and know they’re not alone. True healing and growth happen in connection with others.

4. Compassion
I lead with empathy and deep respect for each woman’s unique journey. I meet women where they are, without judgment, offering support that feels kind, personal, and meaningful.

5. Holistic Wellbeing
I see and support the whole woman—body, mind, and spirit. My approach combines modern science with practical lifestyle tools that nourish long-term health, energy, and joy.

6. Authenticity
I value honesty, vulnerability, and real conversation. I show up as myself and invite women to do the same. There’s beauty in being messy, evolving, and unapologetically real.

7. Growth & Renewal
I believe midlife is a new beginning—not an end. I embrace and teach the “Second Spring” mindset, helping women rediscover themselves, redefine their path, and move forward with purpose and vitality.
