From Nurse to Health Coach:
Meeting the Needs of Women
About Me
I help women in their 40s and 50s move from confusion and overwhelm to clarity, confidence, and steadier health through midlife and beyond.
Hi, I'm Gail Rothstein—founder of The Well Woman Connection and a women's health and wellbeing coach dedicated to supporting women through this powerful transition. I work with women who are tired of being told to "just cope with it" and want better sleep, steadier moods, and a clear plan for thriving in this next chapter.
If you've ever left an appointment with good advice but unsure how to actually fit it into your life, felt like you couldn't get all your questions answered, or struggled to advocate for what you really need, you're exactly who I created this space for.
I began my nursing career in 2007 after graduating from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I started as a labor and delivery nurse, where I developed a deep respect for women's strength and resilience.
Over my nursing career, I began to notice a serious gap in women's healthcare—especially around education, preventative care, and meaningful conversations about their bodies and choices. That realization led me to pursue my master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Frontier Nursing University, which I completed in 2014.
I worked as a nurse practitioner in Flagstaff, Arizona before relocating to New Zealand with my husband. After moving, I returned to general nursing—and by then, it had become clear that the traditional medical system wasn't allowing me to serve women the way I truly wanted.
I longed to build deeper connections, support women in strengthening the foundations of their health, and create space for real, individualized healing—not just quick fixes for individual symptoms.
That's why I created The Well Woman Connection—a space where women feel heard, seen, and supported. My work is designed to complement—not replace—medical care, giving you the understanding, preparation, and confidence to get more out of every appointment and implement the advice you receive.
Through one-on-one and group coaching, I help midlife and post-menopausal women reclaim their energy, vitality, and confidence—because this chapter of life is just the beginning.
If you're ready to feel less overwhelmed and more supported in your midlife health, you're warmly invited to explore my signature program, Midlife Moxie Reset, or book a free Midlife Clarity Call.
I'm so glad you're here. I look forward to walking this journey with you.
Mission Statement
My mission is to close the gap between what women are told in rushed appointments and what they actually need to feel better day-to-day.
At The Well Woman Connection, I educate, empower, and support women through every stage of midlife and beyond with personalized, compassionate coaching rooted in evidence-based practices. I stay current with menopause and midlife health research and align my work with established clinical guidelines, while always encouraging women to discuss treatment decisions with their own healthcare providers.
I create safe, inclusive spaces where women can connect, share openly, and feel truly seen. Through meaningful support and practical tools, I help women embrace the changes of midlife, reclaim their vitality, and step confidently into their Second Spring—stronger, wiser, and more vibrant than ever before.
My Core Values
1. Empowerment
I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, capable, and confident in her body and her life. This looks like helping you prepare questions before appointments, practicing phrases to advocate for yourself, and reconnecting with your instincts so you can voice your needs confidently in healthcare settings, at home, and at work.
2. Education
I'm committed to sharing clear, evidence-based information that women can trust. This means translating complex medical information into practical language and helping you understand your options so you can make informed choices about your health and wellbeing with confidence.
3. Connection
I create a safe, inclusive space—whether one-to-one or in a group—where women can speak freely, feel seen and heard, and know they're not alone. This looks like honest conversations, shared experiences, and the relief of discovering that what you're going through is normal—and that you have support.
4. Compassion
I lead with empathy and deep respect for each woman's unique journey. This means meeting you exactly where you are without judgment, honoring your pace, and offering support that feels kind, personal, and meaningful—never prescriptive or one-size-fits-all.
5. Holistic Well-being
I see and support the whole woman—body, mind, and spirit. This looks like combining modern science with practical tools for sleep, stress, movement, and nourishment that fit into your real life and support long-term health, energy, and joy.
6. Authenticity
I value honesty, vulnerability, and real conversation. This means I show up as myself—imperfect and evolving—and I invite you to do the same. There's beauty in being messy, asking hard questions, and being unapologetically real.
7. Growth & Renewal
I believe midlife is a new beginning—not an end. This looks like embracing the "Second Spring" mindset, helping you rediscover your priorities, redefine what vitality means to you now, and move forward with purpose, clarity, and excitement for what's next.

A Medicine Woman’s Prayer
I will not rescue you
for you are not powerless.
I will not fix you
for you are not broken
I will not heal you
for I see you in your wholeness.
I will walk with you
through your darkness
as you remember your light.
